Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Surpasses 1M Copies Sold
On Sept. 16, 2025, Capcom via the Japanese Street Fighter account, announced that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has surpassed 1 million copies sold. The game was released on Sept. 12, 2024, just over a year ago as of the writing of this article.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a collection of games from the 90s to the early 2000s. Notably, a fan favorite fighting game, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, was included in the collection, which made it a lot more attractive to old-school fighting game players.

The collection was first announced during a June Nintendo Direct. Later on, it was revealed that Marvel wanted to surprise fans of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise as the motivation to greenlight the project.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 & 5. An Xbox One and Series X|S version followed on Feb. 4, 2025. The game received generally favorable reviews on Metacritic.
